Welcome to the blog of Barbara's Cottages. We are situated in a very peaceful, rural, wooded area about half a mile from Castletownshend which is a quaint little village with stunning coastal views and beaches nearby. It has two pubs one of which is a well renowned seafood restaurant called Mary Ann's. Skibbereen is the nearest town to us which is a 5 minute drive away. Cottage 1
(3 bedroom, sleeps 6\8)
Downstairs: Entrance from courtyard into open-plan living, dining and kitchen area. Kitchen with stainless steel range, Belfast sink, fridge-freezer, dishwasher, washing machine/drier. Lounge with wood-burning stove, TV/DVD. French doors to patio with barbeque. Broadband available.Master bedroom with king size bed and en-suite bathroom. 2nd bedroom with king size bed. Bathroom with bath/shower.
Upstairs: Gallery overlooking living area with bed settee for extra guests. 3rd bedroom with 2 single beds.

Outside: Garden with lawns (very safe), chicken run, vegetable garden.

Cottage 2
(2 bedroom, sleeps 5/7)
Downstairs: Entrance from courtyard into spacious open-plan living, dining and kitchen area. Cathedral style ceilings (5 metres high). Kitchen with stainless steel range, Belfast sink, fridge-freezer, dishwasher, washing machine/drier. Lounge with wood-burning stove, TV/DVD. French doors to patio with barbeque. Broadband available. Bedroom downstairs with 1 king and 1 single bed. Bathroom with WC/shower
Upstairs: Fantastic, spacious bedroom in the eaves of the cottage with a king size bed, bathtub underneath skylight. En-suite WC/washbasin. Sofa bed for extra guests. Large picture window.
Outside: Garden with lawns (very safe), chicken run, vegetable garden.
